Sense Internet won "Best Web Design Company" at the Yorkshire Digital Awards 2008, on May 8th, during a bigger than ever ceremony at Savile's Hall. The judges included experts from across the new media industry, and the Best Web Design Company category was sponsored by Yorkshire Forward, the Regional Development Agency charged with improving the Yorkshire and Humber economy.
Sense impressed the judges with "the flexibility of design and concept" of its work.
Says Peter Baber, editor of Yorkshire Business Insider, the awards founder: "Sense Internet have made regular appearances before on the podium at the Digital Awards, and it is good to see them winning through again. Judges were particularly impressed with the flexibility of their approach to clients' needs."
Sense Internet CEO Aidan Cook commented: "It's great to see our 13-year success story continuing and win this award again. From small beginnings in 1995 we've grown, stayed independent and always placed great emphasis on best industry standards and innovation. As a result we have a string of major national and international clients under our belt, with new clients signing up all the time."
There was more to come on the night, because Sense's Chief Technology Officer, Ben Jefferson, came a close second to Channel 4 with his own project, www.whattogive.com - a popular gift list website with a global reach in the entertainment category.
